3. Data Storage and Retention

3.1 What We Store

Email Data: We temporarily cache email content to provide offline access and improve performance.
User Preferences: Your settings, filters, and auto-clean rules.
Authentication Data: Encrypted OAuth tokens for Gmail access.

3.2 How Long We Store Data

Email Cache: Email data is automatically deleted after 45 days of inactivity.
Account Data: Retained until you delete your account or revoke Gmail access.
Analytics Data: Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.

3.3 Where We Store Data

Primary Storage: PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (United States)
Cache Storage: Redis for temporary session data
Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption (AES-256)

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

4.1 Google Gmail API

Purpose: Access and manage your Gmail emails
Data Shared: OAuth tokens, email read/write permissions

Delete Your Data: Delete your account and all associated data at any time
Revoke Access: Disconnect your Gmail account and revoke Binemail's access

6.2 How to Exercise Your Rights

To delete your account or exercise any of the above rights:

Open Binemail app → Settings → Account → Delete Account

Or revoke access in your Google Account permissions

6.3 Data Deletion

When you delete your account:

All cached emails are immediately deleted
OAuth tokens are revoked
User preferences and settings are deleted within 30 days
Aggregated, anonymized analytics may be retained for service improvement

7. Children's Privacy

Binemail is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@binemail.app.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States. By using Binemail, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws.

9. GDPR Compliance (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under GDPR:
